Our timber species

Beautiful

Our timbers look and feel like traditional solid hardwood timbers. Each species boasts its own characteristics, and, like any natural wood product, its own beautiful imperfections.

Safe

Our process does not rely on formaldehyde adhesives or other harmful chemicals.

Our timbers are crafted using natural wood and a water-based, non-toxic nano-glue. Our products have been tested for VOCs and are safe to use indoors and outdoors.

Durable

Our timbers have properties that match or exceed those of 100-year-old trees and are fit for a wide range of interior and exterior decorative application, furniture and select structural applications.

Sustainable

We convert low-value, abundant juvenile pulpwood resources — typically destined for woodchips — into premium hardwoods, giving these underutilised resources a new life with unsurpassed value-add.

We only source raw wood material that is certified, giving us the assurance that it is obtained from forests that are well cared for and meet rigourous standards for sustainable and ethical forestry practices.

Available timber species

All our timbers are made using natural timber veneers from juvenile or pulp logs that are usually discarded as low-value.

We carry a range of Australian native species, as well as a few imported species, all carefully selected from certified suppliers so that we can ensure all our raw wood material, whether sourced in Australia or from overseas, is from sustainable sources.

Grain cut options

Once you have chosen your preferred species, you have the ability to choose a grain cut option, to ensure the perfect look for your project.

Our Quartersawn cut produces a timber with a linear grain pattern that is straight and regular whilst our Backsawn cut produces a timber with more pronounced and bold visual patterns. Visit our galleries to view more examples.
